WIWTW | Transitional Fall Outfit Inspo 2024

Fashion 2024-10-23

Welcome to our first WIWTW (What I Wore This Week)! I'm Raeha, the founder / designer at Sun & Sanctuary, and I'm making series as a fun way to share some real personal style. A lot of the outfits that get posted on our website and gram are carefully curated for photoshoots. And that's great for inspo! But I love looking at "real" fashion too. The stuff people actually wear in our busy, messy, beautiful lives.

Hope you enjoy!

Monday

Wide leg pants outfit ideas and inspo.

Someone on a fashion subreddit recently pointed out that in the 2010's we'd pick our outfits based around a "Going Out Top". They suggested that now it's popular instead to have your "Going Out Pants". I love this idea and have been playing around with it!

These ultra wide leg mustard trousers are my current "Going Out Pants." They were originally part of a salwar set that my fiance's aunt gifted me. I love wearing them with various western style tops.

They were comfy for working at home on this new fabric design. Then I threw on my platform docs and a Lululemon anorak for a meeting in DTLA's fashion district.

Saturday

My friends and I went to Queen Mary's Dark Harbor in Long Beach on Saturday! Highly recommend! To be honest, I only wore this outfit during the day, then last minute decided to be cozy and switched into jeans and a cropped sweater. Did not get a pic, unfortunately!

I've had this yellow dress from Target for at least 5 years now and I still adore it! There's a lot of pressure in fashion to always have the newest, most on trend items. Personally I think that's a bunch of marketing bs and love to wear my clothes for a long time. You build memories in them that way. Not to mention it's easier on the pocketbook and planet.

Beachy fall in California

My sister lives in Chicago and I'm in Los Angeles, so we decided to virtually hang out by having a Halloween themed watch party. It's super easy to do. We Facetimed each other and used shareplay to sync up our TVs. Then we could watch our show at the same time and chat as if we were in person. Sister banter is my favorite part of a watch party!

First I needed to hit Trader Joes in Marina Del Rey, though. You can't have a Halloween watch party without fall snacks! I picked up a pumpkin spice sheet cake which I HIGHLY recommend!

I threw on a comfy wool cardigan and my fav wide leg jeans from Free People. They're the perfect length if you're petite! (I'm 5'2").

Cute loungewear outfit.

Once I got home, I switched into this crop top from Amazon and recycled polyester lounge pants from Vuori. Then I put on a pot of tea and streamed spooky shows with my sis! Fall activities like that are my obsession.

Tuesday

How to style a vest outfit.

After talking to several local printers in LA I finally found one that's a perfect fit for my brand! I went downtown to meet them in this menswear inspired fit.

I'm in love with vests right now and like layering a lacey bralette underneath for a girly, boho touch. When S&S launches, we'll have cute printed linen vests. Stay tuned! We're getting closer and closer to launch!

While you're waiting, take a peek at some of the pre-order items we have for sale. Everything is designed, made in, and shipped from Los Angeles.
